Volume 8 I November 28

These lined double wall mugs are best for those who appreciate the beauty of copper, but who might be a bit non-committal about maintenance.  The stainless-steel inner wall does not require special care.  However, it does not conduct temperature anywhere nearly as well as pure copper does, so drinks won’t feel as cold.  

Volume 7 I October 28

Like most refined objects, unlined copper mugs are not for everyone.  They require a certain type of owner, an owner who is willing to put in a little extra work to keep these mugs in top shape.  They also need an owner who values authenticity and artisanal work… an owner who understands copper!

Volume 6 I September 28

"Unlined" means that their interior is made of copper (no nickel, tin, stainless-steel nor chemical lacquers).  Pure copper tarnishes with prolonged exposure to liquids and with moisture in the air.  It is normal.

Volume 5 I August 28

Many customers write to ask me why genuine copper is the best way to go, and how to keep their mugs shiny and new. Here is what I tell them: Copper ages. Beautifully. It gains a rich patina over time, which is the mug showing some character, a sign it is well used.

Place 2 or 3 ice cubes in a copper mug.  Pour in the vodka and fill with cold ginger beer.  Squeeze lime juice and stir.  Garnish with mint sprigs.
